Those of us with oily skin may have a tough time when summer arrives. Between sunscreen and sweat, breakouts are almost inevitable. And although fall is just around the corner, it’s still sunny and a balmy eighty degrees here in Chicago. I needed a fast fix since my usual, but hard-to-find Lierac Regulance went dry and the weatherman is predicting a weeks worth of high temperatures. At Nordstrom over the weekend, I noticed a new product amongst the ever-popular Deep Steep line by Bliss. Faster than you can say ‘sebum-seeking smartsponge technology’, I headed home with my new purchase: Steep Clean Moisture Lotion, 17.oz, $48.00.The uplifting and super-clean scented, light lotion goes on smoothly but doesn’t feel greasy. It’s formulated with glycolic acid and lactic acid to help control shine in oily skin types and correct minor imperfections. After using it for only a few days, not only did I notice that it actually absorbed surface oil and banished the occasional breakout, but my skin looked more even, had better tone and felt smoother to the touch. It even manages to moisturize marvelously without an ounce of oil.
