A cause that's close to my heart, Couture for Cancer, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that donates custom made, non-surgical hair replacement systems completely free of charge, to any person suffering hair loss due to cancer and chemotherapy treatments.
Their mission is to assist cancer patients during this difficult time in their life by boosting their self-confidence and personal outlook after the devastating loss of their hair. Through both private and public donations, combined with the proceeds from the sale of their clothing line and haute pink Iron Out Cancer tourmaline, ceramic-ionic flat iron that sells for $160, they are having an enormous, direct impact on people living with cancer, nationwide.
Salon Owner & Visionary, Mario Mazza is the brains and braun behind Couture for Cancer. His mission: change the outlooks of those who suffer from hair loss due to chemotherapy. Mario has been a colorist for celebrities and high-powered professionals for the past five years at his salon, MazzaRock, in Jupiter, Florida. His intense passion and creativity inspired him to create Couture for Cancer. You rock, Mario!
Stay turned, my mother-in-law, Meri a breast cancer survivor was recently diagnossed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. She just submitted an application, so hopefully we'll be off to visit Mario soon. Check back for before and after shots.
